Caring
for your Product
Proper Care
Lead
crystal products should be washed by hand with warm water and a small
amount of mild detergent. Washing them in a dishwasher is not recommended;
it could crack the crystal.
Fine
china dinnerware is safe in the dishwasher, but care should be taken not
to chip the pieces when stacking them. When washing by hand, use a soft
sponge or cloth, warm water and a mild detergent. Do not use steel wool
or harsh abrasives, as this could damage the pattern.
Fine
china dinnerware is safe in the microwave, as long as it has no gold or
platinum trim.
Stainless
steel needs only minimal care. However, some precautions should be taken
when washing in a dishwasher. Do not use too much powder and ensure that
the item is rinsed well.
Cutlery:
If possible, wash knives immediately after using and wipe each blade carefully.
Lead Content in Crystal
As a
precaution, the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has issued the following
advice regarding lead crystal products.
•
Children and pregnant women should avoid the daily use of lead crystal
products.
• Beverages should not be stored in lead crystal decanters.
